A Romantic and Intimate Wedding at Sayen Gardens

February 8, 2025

https://youtu.be/wAGoXMiwLYE

Lisa and Dan’s wedding was a truly special celebration of love, set against the beautiful and serene backdrop of Sayen Gardens in Hamilton Square, NJ. This picturesque venue, with its charming white gazebo and lush botanical gardens, provided the perfect setting for an intimate ceremony surrounded by their closest family and friends.

The day began at Lisa and Dan’s home in Cherry Hill, NJ, where they prepared for their wedding in a cozy and warm atmosphere. Lisa and Dan opted to get ready separately, with Lisa sharing a heartfelt first look moment with her father before heading to Sayen Gardens. The couple’s attention to detail was evident in every aspect of their preparation, from the elegantly hung wedding dress to the carefully arranged jewelry and sentimental heirlooms reflecting their journey together.

Upon arriving at Sayen Gardens, the couple’s close-knit group of guests gathered at the gazebo, eagerly awaiting Lisa’s entrance. The ceremony was filled with touching moments, including a unique twist—one of their beloved dogs took on the role of ring bearer, adding a personal and heartwarming touch to the event. As Lisa walked down the aisle with her father, Dan’s expression of pure joy and love was beautifully captured in photos.

Following the ceremony, the couple and their guests took advantage of the garden’s stunning landscape for portraits. The soft winter light provided a magical glow, making for breathtaking photos of Lisa and Dan as they walked hand-in-hand across the garden’s iconic bridge and meandering pathways. With no bridal party, the focus remained entirely on the couple, their families, and their cherished pets, who joined in for some adorable portraits.

As the evening unfolded, the celebration continued back at their home, which had been transformed into a romantic and cozy reception space. With candlelit tables and Valentine’s Day-inspired decor, the atmosphere was intimate and inviting. Guests enjoyed a warm and joyous evening filled with laughter, heartfelt toasts, and even a few fun games led by Lisa’s cousin. The couple shared their first dance in the glow of string lights, followed by touching parent dances that left few dry eyes in the room.

A highlight of the night was the collection of heartfelt video messages from guests, where each person shared their best wishes and advice for the newlyweds. This personal touch made the evening all the more memorable, leaving Lisa and Dan with cherished keepsakes to look back on for years to come.

The night concluded with a beautifully staged cake cutting, marking the perfect end to an unforgettable day. Lisa and Dan’s wedding was a testament to the beauty of intimate celebrations—proof that a wedding doesn’t need to be grand to be deeply meaningful. With their love shining brightly among those closest to them, this day was truly one for the books.

Congratulations to Lisa and Dan on their beautiful journey together!

The Calm Behind the Camera

About Me — But Really, It’s About You

The most meaningful wedding photos never come from stiff poses.
They come from the quiet laugh you didn’t think anyone saw.
The look on your partner’s face during the vows.
The warmth of your people all around you.

I’ve been doing this for over 30 years — and I still get nervous before every wedding.
Not because I’m uncertain, but because I know how much it matters.

After photographing hundreds of weddings over the past few decades, I’ve learned something simple:
The best photos happen when you feel fully present.

That’s why I work calmly, behind the scenes — guiding when it helps, then stepping back when the real moments unfold. I’m always anticipating what’s next, so you never have to think about a thing.

My goal is simple: to help you relax, feel confident, and walk away with photos that feel like you — not a filtered version of someone else’s idea of perfect.

Most of my couples say the same thing:
We’re so glad we didn’t have to worry.”
